New vehicle delivery times ?

depending on what extras you got put on, check that the mechanics/fitters have done things right. I had the sovereign bullbar fitted and when I arrived home 6 kms away I found that the front indicator was hanging by the wires and full of water from the automatic car wash they have.
No biggie, they just forgot a couple of nuts.
Sounds like the department was rushed to deliver.
The Japs have fitted a quality product though and everything they have done is first class.

Now the only loose nut is the one behind the wheel on the weekends. :lol: :lol:

I have already emailed the dealer and instructed them that I wanted the bar fitted properly and gave them copies of a poorly fitted bar and how I expect it to be fitted with the splash plates fitted.

Not happy jan :x I new it was to good to be true,had another email today my car is coming with the wrong colour interior,nothing they can do even though it was corrected weeks ago on paper.
I could say a lot but i wont and if there are any SPYS reading this you realy have to lift your game 4-5 month wait and you cant even get 2 colours right :x

I also got news today.Our vehicle is due to arrive in Melbourne on the 16th of December and at the dealer ship on the 27th of december which will then go to ARB to have the goodies fitted.The latest pick up time for us is on the 6th of Jan 08.Going by the above post we will probably end up with Yaris

Does that mean the deal get cheaper/better by lots or is that the dealers way of saying that there is another higher paying person who wants that colour but cannot wait. Either way it is not acceptable.

To be honest plucker iam so over it im going to have to accept it or wait another 4 months.
Only point 1 of a percent is taken up on the sales contract for the outside and inside colour the rest is covered in how much its going to cost you.
I am going down in the morning to have a look at a car with that colour interior and make my mind up then

Sorry to hear it Moto ... that is absolute crap. Surely it's not such a difficult concept - they've only got a couple of colours to choose from :? :?

Are we still talking about the dealer by the large lump of granite, on the left while heading north ??

TYPICAL!!! is all I can say Moto. What colour interior did you end up getting? What colour Prado did you get? It mightn't be that bad. But I know how you feel when you say you're over it. You just want the damn vehicle right? I've given up asking my dealer for any other bits and pieces like a tyre swap and the like. Considering the uber difficult, fraught with delays task it seems to be to land a vehicle here, I'll settle for just the vehicle. Niiiicee and easy.

Get this. I bought some gear from my dealer's spare bits dept as I didn't want to pay LCT on that stuff as well. Headlight covers, dust deflector and the like. They wanted $250.00 odd to fit it. Nearly fell over. Maybe I was expecting too much for them to fit those things for a minimal cost if any at all. Seeing as I'm buying a new car and paying cash for it. Poor customer service. I really have the impression they just don't care. Like you, I'm really, really over it. Just lets have the vehicle and be done with the new car dealers.

Is the 16th the date shown on your vehicle tracking info as the Latest Estimated Pick Up Date?

I just checked mine tonight and discovered it had changed from "Scheduled month of production: November" to now showing "Latest Estimated Pick Up Date: 10/12/2007".

It would really interest me to know, because I am planning to tow my van to Port Stephens on the 4th of Jan so I need to have the AT's, diff locks and tow bar fitted at the dealer and then get the brake controller fitted before putting about 1000Km's under the wheels (to run it in before the long tow.).

I have waited quite a while for mine.It was ordered on the 3rd of July.My tracking system says latest estimated delivery is the 6th of january 2008.My dealer told me today that it arrives in Melbourne on the 16th of December and at the dealership on the 27th of december.Before the new estimated delivery it did say November build

It still amazes me that some people have to wait so long for their new car yet for others it takes half that time.
Surely it should be like the line up to the checkout where the next one gets the goods.

Iron-paww ive ended up with grey interior with crystal pearl exterior it may very well look alright but now i will have to wait until delivery day to actually make up my mind.
The funny thing is on Toyotas web site the interior picks are from a Grande with IVORY interior obviously Toyotas choice of colours for that car and thats what i ordered. My job is to talk to people about choosing there interiors everyday if i stuff up i pay simple,there excuse is oh well!

My 2 cents the grey is easier to live with, keep clean and look at.
