    Thanks P1 .I thought the ships that came to Perth came direct from Japan but they obviously come via the east coast. At least i can keep a bit of a track on it now :shock:


    Go Iron-Paw ,mate enjoy every moment of it and with 180 lts onboard i think you wont need to stop until say wednesday :lol: :lol:

        Interesting dates, they all seem to be a bit rubbery. Is fair to sat that there is only one boat delivery per month?
        My car is suppossed to be off the production line tommorrow the 24th so I don't know about the line closing down on the 22nd, i would say delivery is closed for that month.
        My dearler is supposed to recieve the car on the 24th of Dec then give it to me on the 29th, I hope there arn't too many empty beer cans left inside.
        Somehow I think delivery will be sometime in the new year though I have a 3 week window to get the car for our trip to the great ocean road.
        GXL D4D auto silver option pack 2 delivered 31/12/07.

          Toyota tracking still say scheduled for production ?????
          I would put money on it, i do not see it untill Jan 08 after my holidays..

            Ok I'm on my way to being a fully fledged Pradopointer!

            I placed my order today and will hopefully see it next year sometime!

            Jokes aside it will be built in January and be delivered late Feb early March... Apparently this months cut off date is Monday so I just scraped it in! :lol:

            We ended up ordering a GXL D4D Manual.

            Apparently someone has jumped out of an order on a Silver Auto D4D GXL. So if there's anyone in the Cairns area in the market for one, head into the local dealer.

            Now to bloody wait till March! Anyone interested in a VZ SS ute?

              Well I just clocked up 5000 km in two weeks of ownership, not bad I reckon I will have 20k kms on it by March. :lol:

              The dealership at Dubbo did the 5000 check on it today.

              I still got great economy even with pulling a box trailer loaded up, back of the Prado loaded up and a force 10 gale blowing from Glendambo to Broken Hill yesterday and even worse from BH to Nyngan today. Still averaged around 10.5 Ltrs/100km. I had an average speed of 116 km/h.

                yeah I think mine is doing about those specks towing boats and the like but it supposedly gets better as the motor wears in.
                So for you mav, it should take at least another couple of weeks or so :lol: :lol:

                  Had my D4D for a bit over a week and up to 800 km's, fuel consumption about 8.9l/100km's according to Scanguage unit, will to do a small fill next week to recal the scangauge unit.

                  I hope all you guys waiting get your Prado's before christmas you will love them

                    Got my D4D GX manual, option pack one from Mareeba today. Two months wait roughly. It's a great vehicle, the engine is outstanding. I have only done about 120Km now but it sure drives well. Passing cars at highway speeds without a problem, pulling up long reasonably steep hills in 6th without any loss of engine revs or speed. Big improvment over my old 95 model, and it was petrol. God damn it's just a bit too "pretty" to take bush, I will have to wear it in a bit. :wink:

                        Dealer rang me today.He told me that my prado was on a ship and heading this way.Will dock in Melbourne on the 16th or if weather is good most likely the 14th of December.He could even tell me that the vehicle was actually made on the 22nd of November which is the last production day of the month (just scraped in).My tracking system still says it is scheduled for production.The dealer assured me it was on its way.

                        Starting to get excited now

                          Yours must be on the same ship as mine. My dealer told me it docks on the 6th or the 9th (cannot remember) in sydney. Then customs blah blah blah. Hopefully delivered to me before christmas.

                            Ordered mine on Monday 26/11/2007, told it should be around Feb 13, 2008. Hope the ship does not get mistaken for a whaling ship by Greenpeace...

                              Good to hear Rob.
                              If my guess is right, then your pride and joy should be loaded on the M/V Trans Future 5 in Nagoya on the 30th and arrive according to schedule on the 14th of Dec.
                              I hope the Sydney Ports info is correct and mine is due to reach Sydney at 5:00am tomorrow on Trans Future 7 and dock in Melb on the 30th.
