Finally some good news :lol:
Confirmed with dealer that it will be the updated spec, only two more months to go, which will make it just under a 5 month wait.Your vehicle has finally been confirmed to be manufactured this month, and will dock on 11 September 2007, which means the vehicle should get to us by approximately 25 September 2007, and we will get it ready by the very end of September or early October 2007.------------------------------------------------------

Dlivery times
Gday, I ordered mine on the 24th May just received delivery of it on the 1st August. This was a much shorter wait than I had anticipated. What a great car quiet smooth and heaps of go. Just for the record I was in a 2005 DiD Paj today, what a noisy piece of junk. The D4D was the right decision.Comment

Hi All,
My first post and a new member. Firstly thanks to all of you for the invaluable info. I have used this site for "real life" guidance in researching the purchase of a new car. I hope that in the next couple of days the order for a new Silver Ash GXL, D4D, Auto will be placed by my companies Lease Company :lol: . By the looks of things it is an approx 4 month wait for delivery which is going to drive me mad but it sounds like it is going to be worth the wait.
This will also mean that for the first time in 24 years of driving history we will be a non Holden or Ford family. The wife owns 2 year old RAV4.
Anyway I will let you know how I go with delivery.

Got bad news from Nunawading Toyota re my order which I placed on 14 June!
My production has been bumped YET AGAIN, and is now Oct production and mid to late Nov delivery.
That now completely stuffs up my regular holiday - camping and 4WDing - over the Melb Cup long weekend! :cry:
In addition, they are foreshadowing that they will try to increase the price on orders already placed due the new spec levels. :evil:White 2013 GXL D4D Auto, BFG 265/70R17 ATs, UHF TX6200; Goldstream Storm hanging off the back

Same thing happend to me.They mentioned that the price would go up with the new specs.I nicely mentioned to the dealer that i had been a very patient customer and if the price went up at all then i would walk away from the deal.
I pointed out that i have waited for 5 months for this car and not 2 months as per the original deal.My contract says an August build car not October.He then politely said to that the price wont change

I too have been told that the price may go up a little. I am going through a lease company and have told them that if the price goes up they can keep it. I think they have a cheek expecting us to wait 5 months (ordered last week. Delivery Jan 18.) and then asking for more. I ordered my (updated model) D4D early August and was told mid December for delivery. The dealer rang during the week and said 29th November.2014 Kakadu V6, HR Towbar, MSA seat covers, Scan Guage II.Comment

I ordered mine on the 31st of July and still have not got a delivery date. Although I expect it to be in the same batch as yours. I was originally told of a september delivery. ha ha
If they try to hit me with a price increase I will back out of the deal even if it means losing my $1000 deposit. On principle. I have agreed to a price and it is written on my sales agreement, thats the price, as far as Im concerned. So there Toyota!!Comment

At least your dealers ring you to let you know what's going on. Ordered mine on the 25th of June and still they cannot give me a firm delivery date. It's looking ominously like I'm going to get bumped into the October production as well. However they did say late this month they should know, which I suppose gives them this week to contact me. I too was told August production no probs when I ordered. Only through my ringing them have I found out what's going on. I haven't been told of a price increase, however like you guy's, I won't stand for it. I signed my name, they signed theirs. End of story.
Seems they are within their rights though. Terms and conditions section 3.2. [The Purchase Price]
In the case of a new vehicle, if at any time after this contract becomes binding on both parties but before delivery of the vehicle to the purchaser, the cost of the vehicle to the dealer changes because the manufacturer changes it's price, or there is a change in statutory charges which apply to the vehicle, the total purchase price will be adjusted by the corresponding amount.
Section 3.3
If the manufacturer increases the cost of a new vehicle to the dealer, the dealer is only entitled to pass on to the purchaser, an increase of up to and including 5%, of the total factory price of the vehicle.
However, also interesting is Section 4 [ Delivery of the Vehicle].
Section 4.1
The dealer will deliver the vehicle to the purchaser on or before the delivery date stated in this contract.
Section 4.2 (and this is the kicker)
In the case of a new vehicle, if a delivery date is not stated in this contract, the dealer will deliver the vehicle within three (3) months of this contract becoming binding on the parties.
So It follows that if you don't recieve anything within 3 months then section 7 [Purchaser's right to terminate contract] is interesting too.
Section 7.1
The purchaser may terminate this contract if the dealer has breached any of the obligations imposed on the dealer by this contract.
Section 7.2 says that if you validly terminate the contract you should get your deposit back.
