I signed the order on 26 June. Dealer advised me it was ordered the first week of July when dealers Australia wide ordered (I think around 6 July cut off).
I'm starting to get excited about getting it. Will be a little disappointed if I get bumped to an October build.[B]Cheers

Hi Bomber. Mine was ordered at the same time as yours and mine has just been bumped to October build i hope you are right as far as your car goes but i sort of think that you are due to get a phone call from your dealer

Gee I'm trying to get my lease company to place an order for an auto D4D GXL and was hoping to have it for Jan trip, looks like I might not get it in time.
Does anyone know the cutoff date for monthly orders?

By the way Pennant Hills Toyota Sydney have two new GXL D4D in stock if anyone wants the old model. The auto is a demonstrator but has tow and bullbar nice car in charcoal grey.GXL D4D auto silver option pack 2 delivered 31/12/07.Comment

I truely hope that is a Japanese spec, not what Toyota is going to bring down under...........why would they revert to under slung spares? An absolute disaster off road. Has anyone else heard of this as the new Australian version?[color=#0040FF]Rob[/color]

That looks like a Jap or Euro model. Going by the odd looking mirror at the front, I'd call it Jap. I doubt that Toyota would move the tyre to under the vehicle here, because the 180ltr tank gives them a big advantage over the competition. My order placed at the start of June has now been bumped to the end of Sept. Thats ok for me as my 04 Petrol is still great and am not trying to fit in with an end of lease. Bonus too that I now get the upgrade, although it would have been good to know what options were going to be available for that uprade. Trac control would have been nice.

I know the Kiwi models have the spare underneath. Im not convinced that pic is taken in Sydney. I know the harbour foreshore extremely well. Im a cameraman, I would have noticed that railing before. Its not at the opera house nor Mrs Macquaries chair. Only possibility is it was taken at the garden Island naval base. I think the photo has been touched up with a different background.Comment

I am new to this site, but that unit is euro,jap,NZ model as it has those funny little front fender mirrors fitted, note I can only see the LHS mirror.

But that view is the northern pylon and is the view you get from GI looking North west
The area where it would have had to be taken was due for refurbishment about 3 years ago and the type of railing has been used elsewhere on the base, so my guess is that the car was transposed onto a real background

Navy would not have used that type of railing on that part of the base from a safety perspectiveComment
