To keep things simple I think just head units, too many variations in aerial requirements. I have made an enquiry with Prestigecom to see if they offer any bulk discounts but of course any group buy would need mod approval.

+1 for head unit only

Any idea of what unit?

Why change from what this post started off with? ie the Uniden UH7760 NB.

My needs are small, remote mic & speaker in handset a bonus. Price looks good compared with similar to the GME or Icom unit which will keep SWMOB happy

I like this unit as it is able to detect and adjust to transmissions in 40 or 80 channels ie wide or narrow band. This keeps the volume at a similar level, no matter who you are communicating with. (Still a problem for groups of listeners with both types).

Sorry, was meaning to sound pushy.
I guess it doesn't matter what Gadgetcity's current price is, it's their 'group buy' that'll count? Both seem to be reputable sellers. Plus I'm sure either site will probably then receive follow on orders with everyone needing antennas and mounts?

I have the IC440 which is 40ch, not the IC440N which is 80.

Will do, think the link I posted included an aerial therefor the price should be $275 for the head unit only which I believe is the same as Prestige?

Well that seller was only offering 10 units, they haven't listed anymore since. Still no feedback but I doubt anyone who would have ordered has received theirs yet anyway.
