Hi All,
I recently posted here about whether I would be able to do Blue Rag is a stock 150. The answer here was a "Hell Yes" so off I headed. What I didn't ask is whether said stock Prado (in the company of 2 other new stock Prado's) could undertake the journey we did below.
Well after what seemed 500 bang crashes we are back in one piece with surprising little damage to our cars.
I would suggest anybody doing the same route add some underbody protection maybe some tyres (although the stockies were great at 17 PSI) and maybe a 2 inch lift.
Great adventure however next time I would head in via the back of the Buffalo Dam as it is far easier.
My brother downloaded the journey onto his Garmin which really shows just how challenging and slow it was in some sections.
All I can say is the 150 Series Prado are absolute machines in either Diesel or Petrol and tackled the steepest terrain with ease.
