Different figures after each fuel fill - petrol 150

My 150 is nearly 12 months old. After each tank full of petrol, I read the 'kms to empty' reading (just a novelty at first) but I am finding the km reading is decreasing a bit at a time. The first fill was '940', and the last reading was '845'. I have also noticed that fuel consumption is slowly increasing, no doubt due to the computer reading a lower number of 'kms to empty'.

I have not changed my style of driving, no extra weight in the vehicle, etc.

Is this something that can be re-set in the computer at the 12 month service?

In reality, I don't care much about the fuel consumption figures, I just drive to where I am going.

It will depend on the conditions your driving in, if there is traffic, stop start travel, hills, air temp, ect. You can even drive the same route every day at the same time but you will get different consumption figures each time.

after having the injectors changed over - my fuel consumption was very poor compared to as new.

I just stopped looking and once again fuel economy was not an issue :wink: :wink: :wink:

Thank you barryswanson, you are correct.

That 'reset' button works for fuel consumption, average speed and elapsed time. I will try it after the next fill.

After reading the start of the Owner's Manual, and finding many quotes of "if equipped," the manual gave me the shits, so I threw it back into the glovebox where it remained untouched until today. (the manual still gives me the shits reading it today - if Toyota included some photographs of bikini clad models indicating the various parts and accessories, it would make for better reading!)
