    PradoPoint Upgrade

    Hi Everyone,

    Happy Easter. I hope you are having a safe one.

    I'm just running the tests for our Major upgrade. To ensure that we have the right platform for growth, we are moving to the full featured VBulletin.

    There will be lots of great new features including a blog / profile for each member.

    I'm sure there will be a bit of a learning curve for us all however the benefits of VBulletin will prevail in time.

    In addition, we are moving to a new, faster server. Here are the steps and what you can expect over the next 24hrs.

    - Running installation scripts and securing the latest version of VBulletin (done).
    - Testing import from this forum. (done)
    - Testing import again for good measure (done).
    - Placing this forum in 'read-only' mode while the final import is carried out (done).
    - Posting the IP address of the new forum so you can find it straight away
    - Changing DNS details (so the domain name will point to the forum) (done).
    - Possibly sending each member a new password (passwords are encrypted and may not be able to be transferred automatically)
    - Logging in a checking out your account / new features (done).
    - Troubleshooting any issues that may arise

    I'll keep you posted as to the progress as we move along.

                          forums looks and feels good. cheers to Aaron for helping us finally log in. i try to stay as far away from 'facebook' and similar, but it seems we have a blogging section now. perfect place for a whinge.

                          also, how can we get a character increase for our signatures?

                              I'm on the iPad now, and it works fine. The resolution and everything is great, just having troubles uploading a "profile picture"
