IPF made lock nuts which require a special adaptor to remove them and this comes as a kit.

I've got the IPF lock nuts. Apparently there are a number of different fittings for unlocking. Each pair in a set uses the same but different sets use different ones but there are only so many combinations and they are numbered from memory with an alpha character followed by a two numerics to indicate what is what. You still need to use a spanner or socket onto the lock bolt. DOes the trick but if it slips then it can be painful. SO far after a few years and a LOT of corugations they havn't come loose but I do wonder about the ease of access or lack of as a simple lock.

When I used to worry about these things I drilled a small hole in the shank and put small padlocks through.

There are all sorts of brands out there for lock nuts on your spotties. IPF, Narva, ect. I personally dont have them because the winch gets in the way of the spotlight nuts, they would need to remove the winch before they could get to the lights.
