  • Narva Plus 100 Globes.

I have just been looking in the latest Automotive Electrical & Air Conditioning Magazine,And noticed that Narva have brought out a new series of globes to fit any standard lights with Polycarbonate lenses. They claim that these globes will give 100% more light out put than standard Halogen Globes. They should give up to 35 meters more lengh to you're beam lenght. These globes are markes as E Series Globes, and come in Street legal.Series are h1,h3,h4,h7,hb3,hb4,and h11.
Sounds like a great up grade to the standard lights.

Sounds good, do you know if they require any mods to the light wiring or is it as simple as plugging them straight in?

Should be plug and play. You're just changing the globes over.

Sounds good, any idea what they're charging?
These day HID conversions are so cheap they'd want to be under $50

If they are anything like any other NARVA headlight globe they will last for 5 minutes!

I went through 4x sets of Narva's in the last 2 years. Running Phillips now...So far so good!

Check on the reflector of the headlight. If this is plastic then it will probably distort with the 100w globes in place. The 100 watts globes generate a lot of heart for a confirmed/enclose space. I did l look at 100watt upgrades fro my head lights and everything I read and the people I talked to suggested I steer clear of them due to the platsic backing on the reflector. Could be an expensive excersise to replace if it goes wrong.

                But they're not 100W. They are 60/55W. http://www.narva.com.au/products/browse/h4

Philips also have a new extreme vision bulb which is supposed to give a 100%
                  more light than standard globes.

Sales literature also state they are safe for plastic lights as they produce no more heat then a standard
bulb which sounds reasonable a they are still rated at 60W current draw.

Appears they have found a way to convert that current into more light output.

                  Cheers

I've got the Philips X-treme and they are noticeably whiter and slightly brighter.
It was $20 odd from ebay. came from the UK.

Ok, I just quickly read and probably mis read. 100% brighter or 100W and in my quick read all I saw was 100W.

I've got a set of Philips Power2Night or Xtrene Power (can't remember now) but claims to give 80% more light. Not sure it is 80% but it is a lot brighter than the dull standard globes.

Hey Hutch, I might have missed it, but I can't see a post about how the philips lights went.
