First Post
Hi Prado Pointers one and all.
Just purchased our first 4BY and first Toyota in January 2014.
This is my Prado:
Year: 2009
Colour: white
Model: 120 Series GXL Turbo Diesel
Accessories: Bull bar, tow bar, side steps, tint, Mickey Thompson ATs. Cat separator.
Wishlist: Snorkel, Spotlights, Seat Covers, UHF, Lift Kit Upgrade , 3" Exhaust, Duel Battery, Roof Racks, Cargo Barrier, GPS/ Reverse Camera/ Stereo combo
Getting a tune and a thorough inspection from a local mechanic next month. Apart from the norm and a scope of the injector pump trap, are there any other recommendations for a car minus a log book. Inquiries have demonstrated a regular service history though no papers.
Any help is very much appreciated and I am loving reading the threads and replies from you all.
Cheers , Heals

G'day everyone,
Just bought my first Prado last week, though I have owned a few crusiers, most recently had a Subaru Forester for the last 9 years; so its nice to be back in a Toyota.
This is my Prado
Year: 2010
Colour: white
Model: 150 Series GX Turbo Diesel
Accessories: Bull bar, driving lights, tow bar, tint.
Wishlist: Snorkel, Seat Covers, Roof Racks, Cargo Barrier........at the moment :-)
She's an ex gov vehicle and looks to be in pretty good nick, I'm looking forward to getting out with it once the weather cools down a bit.
Cheers,

Hello all,
Been lurking for a while and thought I'd bite the bullet. Only recently purchased my first (albeit older) Prado and this site has been an invaluable resource for me with my decision making. I've got a few more questions that I'll spare you all from until I trawl through the archives to make sure that they haven't been answered already. I hope some day I can provide a fraction of the help this site has provided to me!
My vehicle details are:
Model: GXL
Year: 2005
Colour: Silver
Accessories: none
Wishlist: bullbar

Welcome. Nothing beats a blank canvass so that you may create your own version of the perfect Prado, well, dependent on your ability to spend and build without too much friction from SWMBO. I'm on my second Prado, 5 years with one and still doing mods. Good luck with yours.Dave

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.

Introduction
G'day all
Just picked up a 2007 120 GX last week.
Model: KDJ120GX
Year: 2007
Colour: White (of course)
Engine: D4D
Transmission: 6 speed manual
Accessories: TJM steel bar, LED light bar, Side steps, UHF, BFG KM2's,
Wish List: Have to sell my Hilux first and in no particular order): Sliders, winch, exhaust 2.75 or 3", Steinbaeuer chip, roof rack, electric brake controller, 80ch UHF, stereo, and possibly a few more things that I can't think of at the moment. It is 5am on Sunday morning.
I currently have a pair of Lightforce 170's that I will be fitting.
I have had a look around PP already and I am finding some great threads. Must contact amts and get rear wheel carrier extender brackets as I think the KM2 will not fit on the back.
I am Gold Coast based and looking forward to perhaps meeting up with others down here.
Cheers and beers all
Remember: Keep those black rim protectors facing down.
Frank
