I agree with most of the points you make in your well thought out and argued post, indeed I weighed up the same questions when i bought my 150 a few weeks ago. I also agree with your "us v's them arguments, we are indeed all in the same boat with the same interests and goals to enjoy our country from the wheel of a 4wd. However, do Toyota need to look at how they are doing business? I would suggest not, they sell every one that comes into the country, have waiting lists and enjoy a reputation that cannot be bought but earned after years of producing vehicles that have served their owners well. For me the selling point, that is often overlooked is resale value, which is far better than any of the competition. This lowers the total cost of ownership over the life of the vehicle, and brings the value for money argument back into play. Just my 5 cents worth, I hope you enjoy your new rig as much as you do your Prado
