    Still a bargain for a modified sine wave If you see a pure sine wave inverter for not much more, get that instead. It's better for your electronics.

      The other thing to be wary of with these foreign inverters is the AC output.I noticed that the one that Noobie has is only ac110volts.No good in Aus you need 240volts.Just something more to think about.

        Something else to consider is what the warranty actually covers. I bought a 300/600W Pure Sine Wave Inverter from a Sydney store on ebay for $89 with a "Full 12 Month Warranty". After six months it started getting intermittent so I contacted the supplier only to find that it was a "Parts Warranty" only - I was instructed to take it apart and fix it and they would supply any parts required. Turns out it was only a couple of loose ICs so no parts required and no dramas.
