I have been bidding or a bar on EBay and just interested if any other PP members have been biding on the same.

Hey Trev, better have another look, its not a winch bar, its the same as you already have only damaged. He actually says right at the bottom that he only put winchbar in for the purpose of it coming up in a search, which is BS if you ask me. Hope you dont get lumbered with a bar you don't want.

Thanks AJ,hadn't noticed just took a good look.I have filed a report with EBay for faulse advertising see if I can get out of the Bidding.Haven't gone that high yet.Hope that the other birders go again.Fingers crossed.Again thank you for spotting.

Trev,

You should be able to retract your bids, noting the false wording on his add.
They should pull the add if it is reported...
Report it using the 'listing practices', misleading words, comes under 'compilation and informational items'.

eBay are cracking down on this sort of thing, should be enough reason to retract your bids...

Worst case scenario for you Trev is to not pay, so you won't be out of pocket. You should have ample grounds to retract your bid though.

At the end of the day its ebay and I would not be handing over a red cent for some thing that is not correct. So what he may leave you bad feedback, just do the same and leave him a comment that he should advertise the item correctly and didnt buy due to false advertising. I wouldnt hold your breath in regards to reporting the item. I sent an email twice two weeks ago about a 3 door prado that when I did a check on it (vic roads check) it come up written off, so I sent ebay 2 emails and it was never removed the first person who bid and won didnt buy it but I didnt see any comment as to why, then it was relisted again (thats when I sent 2nd email) and it was bid on and sold again and presume it went. My computer had a dummy spit and I had it on watch then I lost it so not sure wether it went again or not...Cheers Steve

I was looking at the same one, but came across the ARB LOOK A LIKE ones for about $600 and went and had a look today and they look great! The welding etc seems to be great..

I have logged my case see what EBay comes back with.Still the highest bidder,I would say that he has been bidding against me.If IM stuck with it I will convert it into a winch bar,will just have to get the dimensions of the backing plate and get it cut and bent then fit it in.The winch bar is the same just a few minor stiffners added.This is a warning to others,Check before you buy,read all the details don't go by the description.If you're not sure ask first.

I got lucky someone else out bidder me at the last minute.I hope that they didn't want a winch bar.Now to buy one of the ARB look a likes.Sorry to ARB but 700 in my pocket will buy my winch.

Hi Trev, Glad you didnt get it but again you didnt have to buy it !! He didnt describe it properly and was trying to be sneaky so stuff him in the end had you won it. Lets see if it reappears again due to the winning bidder noticing the same thing when he picks it up, hope he didnt have to use a courier then pay for transport some where to find out its not what he thought it was which wasnt a winch bar. Ive sold and bought from ebay plenty of times and nearly all my arb bars were from ebay and things I have sold but Im 100% honest with people thats why I have 100% feedback. At the end of the day its ebay and not a life or death situation if you just change your mind then yes you deserve back feed back but anyway you were outbid. Keep your eye out there always popping up.....Cheers Steve

Thanks Steve,I have found this from http://myworld.ebay.com.au/cliffhanger4wdevents'they have a winch and bar for 1300 there a bouts.The winch is a tigers11 remote control.looks like a good deal.I will find something soon ready for the next PP get to gether.

For what its worth - sellers can't leave negative feedback anymore. So if you buy something and decide you don't want it, ignore the emails etc and the seller can't do anything. Speaking from my experience selling, not buying..

Nicely bought. Is this the same bullbar as the other ebay item which is an ARB copy? I didn't know that Tigerz11 did bullbars.

Well I was already to fit it this Saturday and they sent me an 80 series bar not the Prado one.They are going to credit me the costs of delivery and the correct bar is being sent Tomorrow Friday 10.02.Frustrating but at least they are looking after me.Also throwing in a couple more Tiger 11 CDs.Thought the bar looked cheap and not the same shape as the Prado bar.Lucky I investigated the difference between the picture and what was supplied.
