Could not believe this but it is just awesome. Whatever it was (stupidity/ luck/ skills ) but absolutely unforgettable moment with him, and anyone watches this video then can't forget it.

Toyota should give him a big prize, at least replace all damages for free

in the context of an offroad adventure it appears to be fun,but when they try it on flooded roads it can be dumb.last nigth during the flooding rains out around londonderry cranebrook way i had a workmates daughter (red ps ) come to grief. She had stopped in her suzuki jimny that she had only recently purchased, ready to turn around when some bloke pulled up in a cruiser or similar and said she would be ok and just follow him thru. Well he made it no worries but ,she was swampt and washed of the road, her n friend clamber out windows and somehow made to safety. The car is stuff ,only 3rd party insurance. I guess she was lucky and will learn from it,but it annoys me that an inexperience driver could be put at risk by some one else's stupidity.

Call me a 'pussy', call me a 'wimp', call me whatever you like, I dont care, but my Prado would never have made it as I would not be that stupid to even try. I cannot understand how anybody can hail this guy as a hero for his stupidity. I have too much respect for my vehicle and deep water to even try.
With all the flood waters throughout western Qld and NSW, the authorities are trying to stop people doing things exactly like this and here we are praising this guy for his exploits and whoever put it up on 'youtube' for the world to see, well done. Sets a great example.
Each to their own, and I'm glad he made it, but people like the SES and emergency services have enough to do without having to rescue people like him and his mates for doing such irresponsible things like this.
              Just my opinion.

I agree totally! Praising the efforts of idiots like this will only encourage others to go and do similarly stupid things. Its all funny until someone get seriously injured, or dies.

If that is what 4wdriving is meant to be about I am not interested!

                Cheers Andrew

to answer the question, prado wouldnt make it because of the electrics under the bonnet that control the fuel pump well that my opinion, i dont think any prado owner is willing to treat their vehicle like that. cheers samo

i was been a bit sarcastic when I put the question out there. Totally agree with you Samo, dont reckon any prado would make that before dying, I reckon my old 2.8D hilux with snorkel would have as its very similar to the old 1HZ cruisers, bugger all electronics, only thing really would be the power to the diesel pump solinoid to keep it open to allow the fuel to keep coming. I think he was extremely lucky it didnt stop there but apprantly it did 5 minutes after this was shot, dont know the reasons why........Cheers Steve

As mentioned very entertaining but if the river was flowing a bit faster he would have been in trouble. Also I noticed the rear end sticking up, maybe he had a light load hence the 80 series was on "tippy toes" might have been a different story if he was fully loaded with gear.

This sort of thing really gets my blood boiling. Same idiot mentality has people ripping up undrivable tracks because "if you just go harder you'll get there" then complaining when the authorities close tracks. We should be promoting responsibility not ridiculous risk taking. OK, wowser rant over...

+1 here. Most importantly, I would never put my family at risk doing something like that. Also, my Prado is my daily drive, and I can't afford to treat it like a toy. I guess the Darwin Awards are always on the lookout for worthy recipients.
