It was the one on the bottom. I'm also amazed that it didn't burn to the ground as that motor and exhaust must have been so hot. I'm also amazed that it didn't happen last Sunday while I was bumping around Zig-Zag. It had to happen at the last service as I also discovered that the whole filter assembly was not tightened. I suspect that the fuel line was not clipped on properly as well. It's just ticked over 80,000k, so if it was anything else, it would have likely happened before now.
I rang the dealership that services it, not to accuse or blame anyone, but to let them know that it happened and that they need to address this issue with their mechanics and apprentices. The Service Manger apologized for it happening but of course admitted no responsibility.
I will be looking into the possibility of changing those spring clips to hose type screw connectors, as I never want the same thing to happen again, but it does get your heart going.
