If we can get a discount card it does need to be a nation wide thing. The number of times I have recieved a discount card (for what ever reason) 9 times out of 10 it has only been valid on the mainland or certain states.
Some of the places mentioned by MDS69 are not even in Tasmania. Fingers crossed they do eventually get here.
Best of luck with your effort in trying to get us all some sort of discount card.Tasmania 2015 GTG Committee Member 2005 Prado Pilbara, Sovereign Bar, Driver & passenger weathershields, UHF TX3220, Spare wheel spaces, Lifestyle rack, Genuine front & midrow seatcovers, Genuine front & midrow rubber floor mats, ARB 47 litre fridge/freezer, Hilux washer jets, BF Goodridge A/T, Radiator protection plate, Dual battery tray and isolator, ARB 2.5m awning, Rhino heavy duty areo bars, MSA rear wheel bin, MAXTRAX

One of the barriers in getting nation wide discounting will be the fact that a lot of the major retailers are in fact franchises. I understand that the likes of TJM is one example. With the likes of this example, they may only offer discount on the TJM branded gear. I know this is the case with one franchisee on the South side of Brisbane.

Craig - The same applies with ARB - some are company owned, some franchises and some other retailers carry ARB gear. The way to approach it will be to approach a number of stores (say one in each major metro area).
VKPrado - I lived in Tassie for about 5 years but can't recall the outlets. If you let me know who they are, I'll ask them.

Often see this with discounts at certain stores advertised on National TV - go in the local (WA) store and they have never heard of the discount.

I notice someone from NSW said Crazy Horse. We have an "outlet" of the same name so sapradogxl and Matt&Loz support the idea they are included. I on the other hand don't even know what they sell......Bitumen: A blatant waste of taxpayers money!

The 4x4 parks is a great idea. I can see some of the franchise stores doing it, but not others. How about some of the online stores, on eBay. Online would make it easier to enter member number, discount codes, or coupons when ordering.
How about we see if we can get cards with magic keys that open all the locked gates around the place?
