  • Problems logging into iPad

Does anyone else have trouble logging on to your iPad. I am logged on if I use my laptop, but can't log in off my iPad, which is causing a few issues

Probably because you can't log in to the same user name twice, so make sure you are logged off on your laptop and then try logging in on your iPad.

No I'm not using the tapatalk thing, I don't think. I have already logged out of my laptop prior to trying my iPad, and excuse me for my ignorance but what is a hard reset

Hold the square button at the bottom of the iPad and the power button at the top until the screen goes black and then comes back on, displaying the apple logo.. Just let the buttons go and wait until the iPad restarts.

I've tried that without any luck. Does anyone else have any suggestions to try and fix this as it is very frustrating not being able to log onto my iPad.

                Hi Dreamon,
if you mean you can't login to PP from your iPad, I have had a similar experience on occasions where I enter my username and password and click login then get the same view I had before logging in so it appears that I am not logged in. However, when I then click on a something then click back on the Forum link, the navigation bar at the top changes and shows that I have logged in. This only happens on iPad and not everytime.

A different tangent.. But still iPad related

For anyone using Bigpond and having issues setting up the iPad email to send and receive, I sorted mine this afternoon.

Go into settings and select email accounts. In the POP account info area put in your name, email address and an account description (I find the email address works best). In the incoming mail server, type in the host name, for bigpond it's mail.bigpond.com and then your username, being your full email address. Follow down to the password and type it in.

Click the outgoing service SMTP line next. This will open up a list of servers, select the mail.bigpond.com as the primary server and ensure it's set to ON. Click on the primary server and this will open up the outgoing primary server information. Again, like before ensure the host name is mail.bigpond.com, the username is your FULL email address and finally the password is typed in in the password section.I left the SSL box alone and now everything works great.

I can both receive and send email now on the my iPad. Before I set this all up, I could only receive emails.

I know it's off the thread topic, but might help someone in the future. By the way, this set up works on all iPhones as well to get them to send and receive emails of your handsets.

This problem has raised its ugly head again. I'm unsure how it corrected itself the first time but I have tried everything such as a reset and logging off from my laptop but it hasn't fixed the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can log onto my iPad as I don't use my laptop (which I am on now) very often and only take my iPad away. Prado Point is one of my favourite sites so I'm lost without it, any help will be most welcomed

Are you having an issue only with logging onto PP? Or Is Safari not working with other sites as well?

Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

Check in Safari settings, you haven't got private browsing turned on, and cookies are set to visited only.
