Stupid question - Silver Seal leak stopper

Following recent PP discussions, I dropped by Repco and grabbed a few tubes of Silver Seal, ahead of a trip out Longreach way.

OK, so how do you open the tube?

On Sunday night Robert managed to 'pop' the end off the tubes, on Monday I just cut one end off with my Leatherman.

Paul,
Get a leatherman or pair of long nose pliers and get a grip on edge of the metal lip, hold the tube and roll or peel the lip off with the pliers, The metal end will come away from the tube then. Dont spill it ;-)

Sorry to read about your radiator misadventures, by the way. Did the core just let go from transmitted forces, or did it puncture somehow?

@gumboot: I'm glad I wasn't missing some bleedingly obvious way of popping the end!

Yeah transmitted forces - I hit the stump square on and think I push the bashplate up onto the radiator which must have ruptured something.
Again I can't speak highly enough of the rest of the group who diagnosed and patched the problem.

I'll be fitting either Brown Davis or ARB front plate when the the radiator goes in on Thursday.
