After 33 years of vehicle fitouts and ARB supplies, our local man has called it quits in order to discover what he's been missing out on for all this time - free weekends. Getaway 4WD has closed and they have already started to tear the workshop down, including a couple of old houses surrounding the premises. And what are they going to replace it with - a McDonalds store of course. Seems that one Maccas in town isn't enough. That will leave us with an ORE supplier/fitter and an Ironman supplier.

No ARB supplier in one of Australia's largest country mining towns. My experience there is 99.932171% of vehicles there are Toyota and 92.1927354% are hilux utes with an ARB bar

We had the Bantich brothers outlet, they are fairly hard-core four wheel drivers and carried some ARB gear but they are flat out doing oil changes on mining vehicles on site that they don't have time for the average punter anymore.Dave

Well, if you checked out the queues at Maccas, Red Rooter, Chicken Feet & KFC you'd see why we need another outlet. They're all run by foreigners with imported (family) labour. Langtrees - the newer stylish knock shop down the road has been bought out and turned into a motel/back-packer style place. There's obviously more money in renting rooms to FIFOs and running take-aways than there is in providing services of a sexual nature. And yes, Fanetti has retired to play with his grandchildren.Dave

I see a better business opportunity here. A combined ARB dealer and Knocking shop. You can knock one off while waiting for the fitting to take place
