  • Tigerz11 awnings - whose got one?

    Hi
Looking at fitting a Tigerz awning but would like to hear what owners think of them first?

Cheap, does the job, if you like quality then shop around. I haven't had the chance to compare mine against other brands yet, but the plastic clips that hold the awning rolled up are weak and the mounting system I think is pretty ordinary.

I've got one and two mates bought one the same day and we are happy with ours! They are cheap and do exactly what they are meant to, however if your looking for something with a label stick with the norm, otherwise we are all happy with ours

I Purchased two of them 1 for myself and 1 for someone else, both of them have had the plastic fittings that the verticle poles attach to snap prior to even having them fitted to the vehicle. The velcro has been stitched in the incorrect postion on the awning where it goes around the horizintal poles to ensure the awning remains taught and the velcro that assits the cover when its been zipped up has been stitched around the wrong way................ I wonder what my chances are of the bag being waterproof so that the awning doesnt go mouldy when not in use and likewise the awning being Waterproof.

Fantastic Product !!! NOT. Leason Learnt.

Can anyone suggest what is the toughest awning? I kitesurf so it's always windy when I want shade. Who makes on that will stand up to a WA seabreeze?

Have a look at the Supapeg awnings.have to be the most solid awning built in Australia (IMO). Of course if you've got the cash, have a good look at the Hannibal range...

              Hi,

Ive been on the WA beaches using my Foxwing Awning and it has stood up to some very strong winds. Mind you, I use 350mm sand pegs to attach the ropes to and they seem to do the job nicely. I was a bit concerned a couple of times that the whole thing might take off, but it stayed put.

I got the Sugar Glider, It works fine, but is very tight to pack away. Takes around 1.5 min to put up and 6 min to pack away.
I think it is value for money.

                    Pardon?
When has Rhino ever done anything for a pretty cheap price?
                    Must be QLD pricing

                    Open Sky by BushRanger?
I have a Roofsack and Wheelie Bin by BR.
Pretty underwhelmed by both. Especially considering they were both rather expensive for what they are.
I'd need to see one on a car before I buy anything of theirs again.
Maybe at the upcoming Penrith outdoors show...

Looks like the zipper on the cover of my Tigerz11 awning has failed now too, so add that to list of things I'm not happy with. Time to shop for a better one I think.

Hey Paddy do you have any photos of the mounting of yours?
I just got mine and trying to work out the best way to do it.
                        Cheers

Mine turned up in the post yesterday, I've had a look at what they would call mounting brackets and they are pretty much useless on factory roof racks. I am getting 3 bits of 4mm flat bent up tomorrow so I can fit it on the weekend. I will post some pics once its installed, but so far I'm pretty happy with it. When it gives up the ghost ill get a brand name one but for now this will do...

Yeah my thoughts were the same. Looks okay though. The brackets are a bit strange. Will have to have a close look at what to do with it...
