Voiding Warranty

Was talking to my local service manager this afternoon trying to get the tail shaft replaced (on going) and a funny thing came up. He said that they often receive photos and/ or rego's of cars in extreme off road situations and should have all claims rejected. Then offered the advice of never posting shots on forums and the like.

Food for thought I suppose.

Perhaps Toyota should stop advertising their 4wds as 4wds then? I would suggest a new promo campaign of "purchase you're new turack tractor, perfect for soccer mums and poofters"...

Maybe you should show him the 4ED section in the ownersand service manuals and ask why they are there if not for use as a 4WD? Some of the dealers are always looking for an excuse to not live up to warranties.

After reading this thread above i naturally got irritated by the crap that dealerships constantly spin-up in-order to try and void or squirm there way out of honoring a warranty that they by law have to back up!!! "ESPECIALLY" when "THEY make "OFFICIAL" adds like these below!

Maybe someone should start a new thread "JUST" dedicated to "TOYOTA OFFICIAL" ad campaigns

Would be good if someone downloaded these videos as I would hate to think Toyota would remove them from youtube.

Edit: and further to that and I will post it here because I couldn't be bothered looking for the proper thread, but the guard cracking from the aux battery, Toyota fit dual batteries in other markets so how can they deny a fault in AUstralia. They come off the same production line.
