Hi. I thought about buying a webber BBQ but just could not justify the expense considering the amount of time I'll possibly use it.
    Found this at ALDI:

    http://www.aldi.com.au/au/html/offers/2827_23950.htm

I'm sure the webber is a fantastic product but for $80 bucks I thought I could not go wrong. Seems to have all the main features like porcelain enamel grill plate, piezo ignition and a HD cast Iron hot plate. Very small at 320mmx500mm cooking surface but I've a small family. Still in the box ..for Xmas wrapping. Will try and post something when I fianlly break it open! Deals direct reviews all gave it >4 stars..for 80 bucks I could not go wrong although it does not have a tray for the kitty litter stuff and will possibly be a bitch to clean??
Would have loved a webber tho..this is a chinese copy??
    Thanks.

Because I was trying to reduce the weight in the Prado and caravan (not me, I am slim and trim Ha.Ha.) I bought a U-Bute. It is a lightweight portable BBQ, big enough to cook for 2, and runs on butane canisters (the ones about the size of a can of fly spray)

Cook with it most nights when away in the van, it sits on a fold-out table on the side of the van. Have cooked steak, chops, snags, chicken and fish, probably will cook other things as well with ease.

I use a cast iron plate and sit it on top of the Colman 2 burner gas cooker. Is big enough to cook for 2 people and more if you dont mind waiting in between batches of sausages/ steaks. Have hooked it up to a 3kg bottle. Simple, versatile and easy to pack. Only downside is that I cant slow roast but is easy to swap between BBQ and boiling types of cooking. Plus there is always the old foil and fire method.
