I have been looking for something to keep my morning tea/lunch cool during my commute to work, and then have it run all day on the second battery to keep some drinking water cool for the trip home in the afternoon, and I have been looking at the 12 volt Waeco 8 litre car cooler. The Waeco TB08 portable car cooler/warmer is on special for $100 at autobarn at the moment....anyone have any experience with this little cooler? If its no good it will be waste of money, but if its ok it will be better than running the 50 litre fridge all day every day. Any thoughts/comments/experiences please?

Have a look at the 11lt waeco fridge, I have one of these between the seats in my ranger work ute.
I run it off the start battery from 6am-3pm and have had not starting issues.
From memory I bought it off ebay for $440 with free postage.

I've got the 8 L one mounted between the front seats. Works well as a cooler - havent tried the warmer function. You may want to check the current draw as it is an absorption style cooler and they draw more power than compressor fridges. I only use mine on longer trips and turn it off at the end of the day. If I can find the Amperage rating I'll post it up.
