I am of similar opinion to Matt, but i have kept my stock stuff and may just replace the shocks with new items when we sell.

I paid $1100 for my OME kit and i love it to bits, now only if i could put 35" tyres on the prado and get another 3" of lift...

Is that fitted? or parts only?

I think I'm going to go the whole hog as well. OME and Nitro or Bilstein & King Springs. And Polys on whichever set I choose.

ARB (in Wangara Perth) have quoted me $1600 for OME & Nitro and $600 - $700 for Polys, fitted

Can anyone else recommend me go elsewhere in Perth? WA Suspensions in O.Park?

        Cheers

DO NOT FRIGGING PAY 700 BLOODY DOLLARS FOR POLYAIRS FITTED !!

That's how you last post read :?: :?: They are about $300 from Repco or straight from Polyair in Sydney. If you don't wish to fit them, don't pay anymore than a maximum of 3 hrs labor to fit them up.

God, I hope I read that post wrong :!:
            Nope, you read correctly.

            $600 - $700 for Polys fitted.

            Rip off merchants!

I would prefer someone to fit them. I'm not very mechanically minded.

              2 x cases of Crownies - $90

              Few snags - $10

Matt - I will be sending you a PM in the new year to organise a PP fitting of the Polyairs.

Could be a few boys from the Stockton trip that might be interested as well.

Anyone have access to a hoist ????

              Cheers - Byrnsie

A member has pointed me in the right direction with a name in Perth. Thank You very much!

Bilstein's, Lovells & Poly Air. $2,095 fitted with Wheel Alignment incl. Labour, which has been costed at a maximum of $440, so my price may reduce.

                  Pretty happy with that!

                  My conundrum:

                  Medium or Heavy Springs?

                  I estimate worse case scenario on loading: 5 people @ 80kg + 200kg in the boot & 100kg on the roof = 700kg.

However, the above is for a max of 10 - 20 days a year. The rest of the time its a suburban taxi for the wife and baby.

Conundrum? Medium or Heavy Springs? How will the truck go on Heavy Springs with no weight? I presume the back end would be skipping all over the place.

                  Cheers again.

Recently, I kitted out a 100 series to tow the float with HD springs... Very bad move :!: I have changed them to medium rated springs and poly airs.. now it tows and rides fine. Both laden and unladen..

                    Medium springs it is.

                    Thanks for that.

                      Hi
If you use poly airs inflated or deflated does it resrict wheel travel.also do you have to keep them slightly inflated even if you are not towing

                        Another newbie question...

Does it make any sense to fit Polyair's to Toyota's OEM suspension, ie. with no lift kit?

                          YES

I didn't have the option of changing the suspension over before the trip so - after yakking to a number of Pradopointers - I fitted a set of Polyairs to the standard suspension.

Best thing I could have done !

                          Cheers

For those who are interested in polyairs go to here
It has all the info you probably need for them and interestingly enough prices.
Looks like 2 different models for the latest model Prado, one for normal suspension and one for raised suspension, both at $295 GST inc. from their Sydney store!!!
It doesn't say but I presume postage is extra.
So guys dont get ripped off.

A tad firmer. At 5 psi you might just notice them ... but if you leave them at 30 psi and drive around unloaded ... you're sure to notice.

                                Cheers
