Well We spent Christmas at Lidsdale. We were the only ones camped there. Which was great.
I
After opening the presents My oldest son was keen to cook the roast
Sadly as everyone in Sydney knows there were a few thunderstorms, but we went to Mt Walker for a climb. Those whi have done the climb know how steep and stepped it is. It was a bit tricky in the wet.

had to visit the outlaws on the (humidity) sunshine coast . so a couple of day trips were needed to get away from them . 1st one was through the conondales across sunday creek rd from kenilworth to jimmna . decided to drop in for some redneck action at LCMP while i was in the area . but alas my wallet was at that point going through the rinse cycle in the shorts that i was wearing 5 minutes before i departed and i had cleared the centre console of change the day before . no phone reception . so i contunued on through old Yabba and Bella creek rd , ended up on some forestry trails between Imbil and Kenilworth (thought i could hear banjos and something that sounded like a pig squealing) didn't take any pics on this outing . next day trip was Tewantin ,Double island pt , Cooloola's coloured sands , Rainbow beach via Freshwater track as we would have had to wait 3 hrs for the tide to go out at Mudlo rocks . didn't have much time on this trip and there was just tooooooooo many (f*#^wits ) around , all driving vehicles with maroon coloured number plates and believing its their god given right to ignore rd rules or any kind of etiquette . here's a couple of pics .03 grande v6 , with added stuff that makes it go places . We drove 800kms so we could listen to all the outlaws bitch and complain about each other, and us, apparantly setting up camp 20 metres from others is being unsociable, even though it was the closest flat piece of ground that was slightly softer than concrete.
Then drove 600 kms to look at potential places to buy a new house, realised that selling 2 of our houses where we live will almost give us enough to buy a vacant block of land in our preffered area so that plan is out the door! pretty ordinary christmas all round, should have stuck with plan A and gone and done Googs track, weather was OK after the first day when we travelled the 800k in 47 degree heat.

Xmas is my "Make & Mend" time. I had 13 days off including Xmas Day so after the whole big family thing I've so far replaced 5 beams in the pergola (good fun in 30+ heat), replaced the cladding on 3rd Son's outer bedroom wall, taken the kids shopping a couple times (boy #3's B'Day is in less than 3 weeks), investigated what I thought was a leaking water-tank on the Camper, painted a shelf for my Daughter - that's going up tomorrow & planning on a day out 4WDriving & a day-trip to the coast. Nothing much, really.
