Hi all,
I've got an old (20yrs?) Jackall 8000 jack that I'd like to find a maintenance kit for but am having little luck.
Have this information from a very helpful lady in the US:
"""
The unfortunate part about the maintenance kit would be that it repairs jacks that are 10 years old or less. The parts are stamped now (not cast as before) and several of the levers may not fit. Generally speaking, the springs and bolts are usually ok, but the lifting lever may not fit.
"""
I'm starting to think the old girl may have to be retired and I buy a Hi-Lift from ARB. Went today to have a look.
Noticed they have replacement springs and bolts and wondered whether they'd fit a Jackall?
(Really didn't like the fact the jack shaft was painted though!!)
Does anyone own an older Jackall?
Have you serviced it lately?
Does anyone know of an Oz supplier of the Jackall maintenance kit?
If the springs and bolts from the newer Jackall maintenance kit or the ARB kit fit it I'd probably lean that way.
It's a very good jack and would be a shame to see it unused because I couldn't service it.
Looking in ARB today though, everything needed to service a Hi-Lift was right there. No searching the internet!
Also,
will probably get an ARB roof rack at some point and attach the jack to it. Would the Jackall fit their u-beaut jack/shovel holder?
cheers,
