Company fuel card works well. 😄
I use the cruise control just about everywhere, helps a little bit.Geoff
Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

Don't expect too many replies on this topic, about 90% of the guys here have a diesel.

you could buy and install a scanguage which gives you an instantaneous fuel consumption readout. I drive to that and monitor it fairly closely, it's interesting where you think you are saving fuel you tend not to be. I was using 17-18l now average 15-16 around town.. best results were doing 100km/h through victoria. Got down to 12.2l, the fuel tank just switched over when we made it to tullamarine airport from adelaide. That was driving very carefully though.

[IMG][/IMG] If You drive with economy in mind you can achieve this from the first tank !!! before it changed to the second tank with luggage and three people on board. This was driving to the snowys and back home doing the speed limits but not accelerating hard, just driving normally no hard throttle. By the time I got home and did a bit of running around I got 11.4L per 100 and yes this is from a V6 and 5 speed auto. Im extremely happy with how mine performs on long runs. I always manage below 12's including running aircon if needed. This is also running 40psi all round on the A/T tyres. For the little bit of coin you would save running extractors/exhaust personally I wouldn't spend the money. Running 40 psi instead of 36 I reckon would give you the same results and cost you nothing except a tad firmer ride (minimal) Can I add this is no off roading, your fuel usage would jump obviously when you start low range stuff or working it in the sand, but hey plenty of power to go with it........Cheers Steve
