I pulled the dash apart to replace my radio with one from a later model prado with the blue tooth and ipod connection but doesn't bloody work anyway (slightly pissed about it) but as I pulled the centre part away from dash I noticed this cable drop down and thought shit where the hell did that come from. I have searched the back of the radio, the heater controls, fan switch, demister switch, recirc/fresh control and be stuffed if I can see where its come from. I have put it all back together and every thing is working fine, all heater controls, vents/flaps which are cable anyway (but different to the one in the picture). So can I presume that this cable is there for possibly a VX or grande and is for some thing else ?? If may have been taped up and has come away when I pulled the centre unit out ?? Will keep an eye out on everything but as I said all seems to be working fine. I guess I will know where its from if some thing decides not to work either at all or partial...... Looks very similar to the radio aerial but smaller in diameter.............Cheers Steve[IMG][/IMG]

Cheers amts. Just been sitting here going through ebay looking at radio's from prados etc and thinking where the hell it may have dropped out from. So I presume that is an answer to my question not you asking me ""is it a GPS arial connection"" ?? lol.........Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. No mods yet

It's alien and it's an anal probe. Designed by aliens and installed by Toyota to bum-f&^K owners like you and me who pull our cars apart and make them better!Dave

Can I just say the bloke I bought the radio unit from has promised to return the full amount I paid, back to me for the unit not working. Must say I'm very impressed with his honesty as I bought it from ebay and he did say it was working when he removed it which I don't doubt his word. After looking up on google seems like this is a very common issue with these head units which are fitted to corolla's, yaris, hilux, prado etc. So Shaun if you happen to read this big thankyou mate for your honesty..........Regards SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. I am disgusted at the silly responses to a serious question. Shame people, shame!
(PS Bushy, does it hurt when they do that probe thing?)Bitumen: A blatant waste of taxpayers money!
