Wife's and the Obvious

This is a thread to share all the things the better half has said that turned out to be a non event.

I'll start the ball rolling.

I got a call at work this afternoon from the mrs all worried because the indicators weren't working. "Can you pick the kids up because I don't want to drive the car and get pulled over".

When I get home it's straight out to the car and check the fuse 1st, nope all good. Next it's key in the ignition, accessories on and turn the left indicator on, nothing. Look at the hazard light switch and guess what, ON.

I go inside to ask why the hazard lights were used, "because I had them on when I was loading some stuff in the car at work". Well how about you turn them off when you get back in the car and before you drive off.

Seriously, how does a woman run an admission desk in a busy hospital but not work out that you have to turn things off once you've finished with them???

I don't know if it was too obvious but we were at kids softball in both cars for whatever reason and the wife calls me just as I left saying the car starts but won't move in forward or reverse. I turn around and go back to find the stubby stick in N. She must have bumped it somehow but it is not that easy to move and not know.

Wifes comes home tells me the steering has a funny noise in her car, I go for a drive no noise. Couple of weeks later, "the steering is making the same noise again"". I go for another run, no noise, she's f#%*ing dreaming When you get home and its doing it bip the horn Ill come and we'll go for a run so you don't turn it off. Few weeks later, beep beep, I run out jump in off we go, Going round corners there's this scraping sort of noise. Thought that's coming from inside. Go round some more corners I tell her. Its coming from around the steering wheel. Put my head/ear closer to the centre console towards drivers seat. Your f#%*en kidding me. It was the bottom of the steering wheel rubbing on her skirt. She has the wheel dropped down low with a tight skirt across and every time she turned the wheel it was scraping across the denim skirt causing the noise..........At least she let me know there was a noise I suppose..............Cheers Steve

Yeah I do similar John. Not sure on your other half but mine hates her undies, bra's and stuff in full view on the line (normally go on the inner line covered by other clothes) so when ever I hang them out I stretch the shitter out of them across the line and do the same with the bra's. She freaks when she gets home and hits the electric roller door and sees them right in front of her on the clothes line in the backyard as she's driving in..........Cheers Steve

I got home from walking the dog last night (about 9:30) to find both wife and teenage daughter complaining about the heat. They've got the air con on so I go and check it - it's on auto with a higher set temperature than the actual temperature! I point out that it's hot because the air con is heating and wife asks why it's heating when it's so hot in there!

My wife pays absolutely no attention to anything to do with the news or current affairs, be it on TV or the newspaper, so to say she isn’t up with the latest can be a bit of an understatement.
A couple of months after 9/11 she wanders into the lounge room while there is an item on the TV news about Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden and asks “So who is his son?”
“Huh?” was my response. “Well they keep talking about trying to find the son of Binladen, so who is he?”
