Thanks for the heads up Daniel, I hadn't seen that email yet. Could have got my Maxtrax even cheaper than the Supercheap Easter Sale :-)

Hmmm, perhaps an excuse for a 2nd set!

Check on the website to see if you can use a road service organisation like NRMA membership for an additional 10% off. I did last year and got my maxtrax for around $190.00 odd dollars.

Had a look on the RACV website and the only Ray's reference I could find was for the Bendigo region, doesn't even tell you how much discount is offered :-
            http://www.racv.com.au/wps/wcm/conne.../rays+outdoors

And then I found this :-
            https://www.racv.com.au/wps/wcm/conn...Deals/Personal
ETA: Free2Go is only for young drivers in any case.

So looks like a no go for any extra discount for me other than the 6.5% VIP one.

Shame they don't sell Maxtrax! They do sell Treds though so would have to beat Ray's prices on those.

The banner ad on their website says that no further discounts apply. Also, Engel and Weber products are not included in the sale.

Thanks for letting us know about the sale Rogerthatv2, I went to get the maxtrax but they'd sold out, the very helpful shop assistant rang the nearest Supercheap and arrange for me to pick up a set for the same 26.5% off.

Went today and nothing really there I wanted/ needed. Not sure what the normal price for Maxtrax are but shelf price was $295. The only thing I bought was some toilet paper for the portaloo.

                      Not real exciting.

I went today, no Maxtrax there at all. You know they've never had any, when the staff don't even know what your talking about. Same for mounting pins. Rang around the other local stores, none had any.
Ended up getting the daughter a PFD for the boat.

Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

Mt Gravatt had around 6 pairs Friday on display and a heap of treds, luck of the draw I guess.

Was at the Taren Point store in southern Sydney on Saturday around midday, and there were 3 sets of Maxtrax for sale. My wife heard that the Taren Point store will be closing soon, so I bought some fishing gear as well.

                            UPDATE.
Called in Sunday just after midday, 1 set of Maxtrax left. Store is closing about 25 May.

Went the the store in Lidcombe. Spent about 45mins in the store, but they didn't have maxtrax anymore. But the guy reckoned BCF might price match it. Apparently, BCF and they are all part of the family chain. So went to BCF in bankstown - they price matched it to20%
                              Thanks VKPrado.
