    Hi,

I have just paid a deposit on a new prado (well, new to me). It's a white GXL 2005, 4.0L V6. Already has sovereign bullbar, towbar & cargo barrier fitted. It's done quite a few kms but it seemed to be in good nick and the price was right. I have been driving a Subaru Forester, but decided I needed something with a bit more pulling power for my camper trailer, and a longer range for the Birdsville trip planned for later this year (2008), not to mention the "big trip" after that. I am getting a pre-purchase inspection tomorrow but if that's ok i guess I will pick it up before the end of the year!! Looking forward to testing it out.

          Howdy Mal,

I came from the same boat, had a Subaru Forester GT and it wasn't cutting the mustard for offroading so we went to a Prado....

Hopefully like us, you won't regret it!

            Welcome

            Welcome aboard Mal.

You won't look back. Ive been driving for 20 odd years and the Toyota Prado is the best car I have ever had. I'll never go back to a conventional sedan. They are terrific on the highway, and in the bush. The perfect vehicle I reckon. I joined this site to keep a breast (I love that term!) on what other people are doing with there Prados.

Send in some pics once you get it dirty

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I picked up the Prado yesterday. Already I'm wrapped!! We are heading off to Baal-bone near Newnes next weekend (12th), so hopefully get some good 4wd-ing and some pics.
