Winch Fairlead

Have got a winch with wire cable and a Hawse fairlead. Will this be OK or do I need to look for a roller fairlead?

I would think you want a roller fairlead with cable.

Personally I would keep the hawse and ditch the cable for Plasma if you have to be spending money anyway! Much lighter all round and gentler on the hands.

I wanted a winch with Plasma, but this one came up at a really good price, so couldn't resist it.
Pretty sure the guys had two to do a project (the 9500lb one I got plus I'm pretty sure a 12000lb one with Plasma) and they let this one go, just they put the wrong fairlead with this one.

Unfortunately they had already sold off the other one (with the roller fairlead in the box).
Oh well, it won't end-up getting fitted until we get back from the Simo anyway, got way to much to do to actually get ready to go as it is.
By then I might just go the Plasma rope.

ORU may offer a forum discount, couldn't find the item in their PradoPoint Store though.

Both Tigerz11 and ORU do hawse fairleads for less than the roller type. If you do decide to go with plasma rope than make sure you get the right type of hawse for your bullbar, some take the offset type. I have a TJM T13 bar and the standard hawse fits that one.
