when they give you the ratings it is based at the weight rating when doing 100kmph on the highway I was told. Due to 100kg of weigh with 100kmph of wind resistance being the max load rating. Obviously fuel economy will suffer so try not to pack too much on there.

Good point amts it may be better for me to get some thing that attaches to the roof racks. My model doesn't have roof rails so I would prefer to have a cage which attaches to the roof racks which would be permanently mounted to roof then just the rack would need to be removed and I cant still get in my garage with roof racks on, I think lol. Will have to check the height once the lift goes in.......Cheers Steve
It would be a big pain to remove it on and off. I leave mine on permanently, wind resistance isnt too bad and fuel ecxonomy didnt suffer too much however will not fit in a std garage especially with a 2" lift like i've got. Luckily for me my carport is very tall so all ok to park under there

That is correct........ however, there are some people out there that are quoting static rates (normally some the cheap Chinese ones). So do your homework and get the correct info, ask questions to the suppliers/manufacturers. Static means stationary, while Dynamic is when the vehicle is in motion.
