Where to mount LED Lightbar?

Bit the bullet and bought a 22" lightbar. Thought it would be a simple matter of mounting it on my roof basket. No worries. After hours of stuffing about making brackets it all turned to crap. Way too much reflection off the bonnet and antennas. Need to re-think this. Unfortunatly it's not possible to mount it on my Toyota alloy bar top rail and still be complient, and still be able to open the bonnet. Any ideas guys?

If still mounting on the roof, put it closer to the roof and a bit further back. That should cut the beam from hitting your bonnet. Antenna's spring base can be wrapped in large heatshrink, heatshrink tape or tape.

Thanks amts. I like it mounted in the front bumper. I think it may also fit in the smaller air gill in the Sovereign bar on my 120. Looks like that may be it's new home.

I couldn't fiind a lightbar small enough to fit through the grille and just chop off the vertical ribs. So decided that chopping too much off will have an effect on its strength. So it's going up on the rack and I didn't notice too much light going on the bonnet.

I have two antennas, ones a smaller white phone antenna and the other is the large white GME stick. I found that the relection coming off both antenna's spring mounts, the bonnet, and the alloy bar was absolutly blinding. So much so that it is dangerous to drive. I thought about mounting it on the top bar of the Sovereign but it would need to be slightly behind the bar to be legal and then you could'nt open the bonnet.
