Removing Toyota Factory Bullbar to fit an ARB Winchbar 150 Series

Hi all,

I'd like to replace the Toyota factory bullbar on our soon to arrive 150 series with an ARB deluxe winchbar.

Has anyone done this? With our 120 the whole bumper got removed, but it looks like on the 150 they have to cut the bumper to fit either of these.

Does anyone know if the cuts for the ARB winchbar are more than those for the Toyota factory bar, or will I also need a new bumper?

NB: Sad to be moving on our old and faithful D4D 120 after 150,000 kms all over Oz, but very excited about welcoming a GXL manual diesel 150 series in a week or so!

Based on the attached I may not need a new bumper, with the cuts for the ARB bar being more severe?

You should be right with that, I think with the toyota bar they only cut the bottom.

Just closing this out for future reference. Yes you can upgrade from the Toyota factory bullbar to an ARB Winchbar without buying a new bumper. The cuts to the bumper for the ARB bar are more severe all around.

Attached are pics of new and old.

Btw, the Toyo bar is for sale on eBay with no reserve.

I know this thread is old but I"m about to do the same to my 150. Did you utilize and of the toyo mounting brackets or remove all and use the arb ones? I bought a 2nd hand arb bar but missing the brace places for the chassis. No luck with arb for spare parts.
