Good points made by all . I took on the largest trailer boat manufacturer and retailer in the land of oz over a product that was defective . I wrote in large letters on the side of the boat. " don't buy a ( insert name ) ask me why ( phone number )" . I sought legal advice before I did it . This boat travelled the east coast of Australia . It was so successful I couldn't get 15 minutes peace where ever I went . In the end the retailer saw what was happening and gave me back the purchase price . But it took 2 years of grief . This was before social media took over .
Is this company still heavily publicised in that magazine that is also full of s#* t. Doesn't really entice you to by any other products that are endorsed by the magazine that is in bed with such companies . Sort of brings credibility into question . Having said all this , you have to remember that these particular camper trailers are pretty cheap . I don't think I would purchase one to take off rd . Thats Just my opinion . But then again I've lost count of the supposedly top of the range products I've bought at a huge price and had to take back because they were absolute crap .

IMHO it is only those with a guilty conscious that fear the power of negative publicity they cannot challenge or dispute.

This behaviour is not uncommon and if "Voldemort's" name cannot be mentioned on a forum, this silly behaviour will see 10x the negative publicity as we meet at GTG's, share negative experiences and simply refer people we know to the missing links and letters as posted on the forum.

Hahahah so when my deisel mechanic asked me "you might want to come and look at this!" So when I looked into the block and saw perfect imprints of my toyota glowplug all over my fourth pot etc...then this is a normal non super failure of my engine and I should and did just buy a new one? ....walk away hay? Say nothing?....ahahah mine was unavoidable as even urban myth says this can happen but my mechanic says this wss his first to see it bouncing around my frickin engine!

Ps....dont firget to change your glowplugs at the suggested interval and dont listen to idiot mechanics that say if it aint broke dont replace it....cause if these little buggers do snap off something very bad might happen....

But back to the topic.....some campers are just mutton dressed up to be lamb boys....

All jokes aside - if someone were to make a formal complaint challenging Toyota to prove said claim, it might just quietly disappear from the ad campaigns. The same might apply to the Mazda ad where it goes off a cliff only to be found in pristine condition. Such is the world in which we live.

I did a similar thing Kav in regards to a camper trailer (not the xbrand as mentioned) another brand. Was a total piece of sh#t and trying to contact the manufacturer in another state was impossible. He was never there. I also told him I was on my way with camper hooked up behind me and 3 mates and I was going to drive it through his show room window vehicle and all. (Would have been worth the excess for my insurance) but then I had a better idea I set the camper up on the back of my mates flatbed tow truck, plastered the name of it all over it saying what a piece of sh#t it was with my phone number and stuck it in the side street that led to Penrith caravan show and I took a few pics of it and sent them to the salesman which I had his mobile number as he supplied it to me when I was dealing with him and I told him to pass it into his prick of a boss. I instantly got a call from the boss himself telling me he'd see me in court. I told him to ring me back with a date cause I will have his arse and I have all the documents, photos and letter from the inspectors as to why I couldn't register it in NSW. He wouldn't give my money back but did offer me the next model up which i took then sold 12 months later (was still a piece of sh#t) but no where near as bad and could at least register it... And I would have gone to court if he persisted. With out fail I wasn't backing down on that one, I had everything I needed including legal help..... Cheers Steve
