Was just wondering if the rear diff ratio in all V6 120 prado's would be the same including the years from 03 to 09 ?? Would there be any difference between the 4 speed auto and the 5 speed auto and/or manual or would this be all just to do with gear box and nothing to do with diff ratio's ?? Want to get hold of a second hand rear diff centre to fit my rear Elocker to, so if I decide to sell my 120 down the track I can just rip the locker out and fit the original limo back in.Cheers steve

Nice idea. I'm not sure how the e-lockers are "plumbed" but I'm sure they'd require a hole drilled through the case for at least one electrical wire, so you may want to consider a that into the equation...glen_ep - engineered, 4" lift, 33" 255/85R16, lockers, 4.88 ratios www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?17237 www.youtube.com/user/glenep www.fb.com/groups/ToyotaPrado90

Steve I only have brochures for the 120s with 5 speed automatics and the V6 ratio is 3.727:1 for all the V6 gearboxes manual and auto. I believe the rear diff in the 150s is different though. My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

When I replaced the diff in mine, i found that there were differences between
4 speed auto, 5 speed auto, manual
petrol / manual
vx & grande / gx, gxl (LSD or traction control)
if you look up the diff club thread it may have some info...2004 Prado GXL. v6 auto, ARB deluxe bar, exhaust, 2" EFS lift kit, Outback Acc rear bar,

Yours would be the same ratio that mine was.
It took a few phone calls to find one, but to be honest, an 05-08ish v6 auto gxl prado wasn't exactly rare, and quite likely a few would of ended up at the wreckers by now.
I paid about 350-400 for my diff centre from a wrecker. Depends what it's worth for you to keep it after.2004 Prado GXL. v6 auto, ARB deluxe bar, exhaust, 2" EFS lift kit, Outback Acc rear bar,

Yeah I don't think it's worth the hassle Steve. If you're really keen to save some coin, just keep whatever is removed during the install, and perhaps those parts can be re-sold here later when someone blows a rear diffglen_ep - engineered, 4" lift, 33" 255/85R16, lockers, 4.88 ratios www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?17237 www.youtube.com/user/glenep www.fb.com/groups/ToyotaPrado90
