Saw mickeyblu at the caravan and camping show and they looked ok for their price. But I wasn't convinced they were good value.

The quality you get for only 20% more from the panel to the wiring had me convinced at was probably worth spending a little more for the quality

No problems. Thanks brooksy78. Are there any panels that you recommend? I liked the design of the compact folding Projecta panels. A guy on myswag is doing them for $599 for 120w for members while still giving people access to Projecta's repair network in Oz. Nice and compact. Hence though, why i was interested when I saw Mickeyblu 240w for about the same price. More bang for buck, but I know that is not the whole story. Ultimately I'm looking for a panel to get me started to charge a 100aH battery running, atm, a Waeco CFX50, a couple LED lights and charge an iPod and camera batteries occasionally. Wanting to keep the price under $500 if possible (which I know is hard for quality).

They will be worth getting in a few years when they are cheaper hopefully :-)

Jaster, I really liked the panels 12v direct were doing. Bosch German built panels, good MPPT and mounted so that it hangs off the panel to avoid getting hot and reduing efficiency.
But as you'll see from this link: http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...el-Easter-sale, I'm seriously considering the Projecta . Primarily becuase it's a good price, good output and size/weight.
