Sedan version of Toyota 86 on the way

Found this on another forum I visit. I have to say I like how it looks as I always had a soft spot for the 86. What do you guys think?

I very nearly bought an 86. They are a hoot to drive. Then I came to my senses and bought a Prado.

My significant other really likes the 86, but she hates two door vehicles. I better not let her see the four door version.

I see nis...... (can't say that word around here), have a new look Pathfinder. Blahhhh. It's now a 7 seater hybrid soft roader. No low range, no ladder frame (monocoque) etc... They're chasing the Colorado wagon/ Mits Outlander market by the looks of it... Nis.... just got softer

Saw an 86 with an after market turbo fitted (at a radio shop being fitted out with all the noise gear). Claimed by the radio installer to be slightly faster than a WRX.

Joint venture between Subaru & Toyota.

The Toyota version is better in terms of quality of the interior and a few other bits and pieces.

An 86 or BRZ with turbo can only run about 6psi boost. Will average about 170 rwkw. Certainly not a wrx beater.

You can also dual charge them, super and turbo.
You need to do a lot of internal changes to get any more decent boost into them.
Here's one with motor and a big arse turbo pulling some serious power.. Still however a project in the works.

I see on average 3-4 86s a day. All driven by middle aged men. Perfect replacement for the MX-5 I guess. I see no real potential vehicle under their... just a Mid Life Crisis purchase. I'm a fan of Subarus. Love them to bits.... this is not a performance vehicle.

It was not just an add on turbo - a bit of work on the engine as well.
