I witnessed a hoon in a Skyline GTR lose control and crash into a concrete bus shelter demolishing it. His car was stuffed but he tried to get away. Lucky there was nobody waiting for the bus or on the footpath where he ended up.

Excellent the re-sale value of the prados can skyrocket. Now all we need is a few PP police to start dishing out the fines to all the fully sik 6 inch lifted patrols which means they will all be eventually impounded, so it will only leave the Prado as the preeminent 4wd and resale values will soar..... Thats right isnt it..haha

Was a nightmare backing out of your own driveway. So many times I've seen them all over the road 100 miles an hour all the way down the street. One even crashed into next door's wall. A little girl down the street killed on her front porch by a hoon out of control. Hope he's still rotting in jail. Best one was when a hoon came flying up towards us, missed two coppers crossing the street by millimetres nearly taking out another car on the t-junction. Made my day when the cops threw the book at them.

Maybe some of us did a few silly things when we were young, but now we are older and smarter (?) and wiser (?), and we don't need to do those things any more.

If you get caught, stiff shit, grin and bare it.

The limp-dick Attorney-General here in NSW talked tough when in opposition, but now he is in government, he keeps backing away from his earlier comments. Some laws he is trying to water down: don't know why people change like that. The judiciary don't help either, giving weak sentences to crooks or giving bail when it should not be granted.

I don't think anyone has an issue with getting caught and paying the penalty it is more the inconsistant approach and possibly the evidence associated with the type I offences. The drink driving offence isn't someone who just had a beer too many after work it is 3x the limit. So how about a tougher penalty that better aligns with the infringement.

if you are caught drink driving there is still teh associated charges and loss of licence as i understand it. these are related to the vehicle i believe.

Yes, don't forget the other penalties which are involved, particularly with drink driving. Repeat DUI offenders can go to jail and lose their license for decades.

The majority of type 1 offenders are likely to be young car enthusiasts showing off to their mates. I think the idea of car confiscation is to take their pride and joy away, preventing the activity but not stopping them from studying or making a living at that early stage of their adult life.

Whilst repeat drink drivers are not drawn into the crime by the type of car they drive - it's personal reasons. Their typical age and financial status would differ, and they may not care less about just going and buying another cheap car.

I'm more distracted by the Doff Doff cars, these have to be above some noise guidelines and/or distraction rules?

Yes Steve still settling in ok. Still fixing up the tenant damage to the house. Don't get me started lol. Nice big wide road up here but little traffic up our end. And NO hooning at all. Sometimes I think I've gone deaf. Let me know if you're ever up this way.

Yes we were all young once but why can't the hoons do their thing in the industrial areas, plenty of them around. Not where there are kids on the streets. The A-G up here certainly no limp prick. A right little Hitler. Don't know if that's a good thing or not. Bikies are heading south in droves.

Every type one offence needs no hard proof, ONLY the word of the booking officer vs you

Every type two offence needs hard proof, a speed camera photo, a measurement on a lidar, two measurements on a breathalyser ...

Type one with no hard proof caries heavier penalties ...

Do i need to point out the obvious to you?
When is a burnout a burnout? - I really don't think there's any doubt about that one - do you think they happen unintentionally or something?
Do you rev your engine in public? I don't - under what circumstances would you?.
Do you have a noisy exhaust (such that it is obviously louder than most)? I don't.

For these three examples, the majority of people would have no problems with the rules.

Note. I am not some 60 year old pensioner... I owned a MY99 WRX for 7 years, and have a Lotus Elise as a track car. That is where this stuff belongs - on a track.
