Evakool RV 60l Fridge/Freezer

Have done a little reading on these - I understand they are not a Danfoss compressor and only 2 yr warranty compared to some of the others being 5 - apart from that, does anyone have any feedback on the overall reliability.

Given the amount and type of use (and the amount of other accessories still to purchase!), this should suit my needs.

BCF have them on special at $599 at the moment....

$599 is exceptionaly cheap. I have an EvaKool 47 couple of years now no problems at all. it is also one of the better insulated fridges

Yeah - I have heard great things about the Evakools with the external mounted compressors (Danfoss), but nothing about the RV series. As this model has only been around a few years - there wouldn't have been too many people who would have given them a true thrashing.....

It is an awesome deal - cheaper than the the 25 / 35L brothers in the same range!!

We are getting one for our son but had to take a rain check to get one in a month as they only had 1 display model with a couple of dents and wouldn't come down any lower than the sale price $599 said that was the maximum that they could drop.

I was looking at the Rv 60 couldn't find anything bad about them.
$600 is a ripper price for a 60.
I don't think evakool would put their name to it if it was nO good.

My contact at rays & bcf says the only fridges that don't come back are ENGELS.
The others are all good but 1 is the best IMO. Legendary reliability.

Yep,
This one caught my eye reading the catalog the other day. As im in the market for a fridge for the work car i think this might just be it considering the asking price of the 40l Engel and Waeco's.
