Hi everyone, i am new to the 4x4 scene and am very interested in buying a second hand prado,looking at doing alot of off road driving with the family nothing extreme but able to go to most places,trying to find a good model to do this with, im looking at spending between 12,000 to 15.000, any and all help would be appreciated.i was looking at the 98 gxl .

I sold my 98 V6 with all the fruit 5 years ago for $15k. I saw a reasonable one last week in Broome for $10,500. They are getting a bit long in the tooth at 16yrs so you might find reliability and maintenance are going to be major issues with engines already over the 200,000 mark. You might get yourself a nice 2000 - 2002 for under $15k if you look hard.Dave

Im not sure one went past me today, looked pretty old and im sure it had 3600 written on the side, I know im vague but been on the go since 3am.,lol, and im sure it was a prado.Comment

It could have been the 3000 sticker on the diesel, and you misread the 0 for a 6? Maybe???Our 6 year old and 3 year old try their hardest to make sure there is no time or money for the other babyComment
