They are way over done around here, tacky is the word for them and then when you see them teamed up with matching seat covers, steering wheel covers and those things for the seat belts it makes me want to throw up

Frangipanis huh? I suspect the work of the Lada Niva society somewhere here. The way I see it, flowers = hippy. You're driving up the highway and catch a whiff of some type of flowers infusion or some other type of mind altering smoke. Sure enough, a little further on you find a burned out Kombie or Lada Niva absolutely covered in said stickers. Smoke billows out all the windows reeking of some flower mix concoction that starts making you see little blue men attacking your spotlights with some kind of blaster ray. It's blast past or get drugged. Stay well clear of the frangipani stickered club. They are bad news.

Ba HA HA HA !!! I was using the most 'faithful' of all search engines to looking up some technical aspects (i.e. min/max - camber, castor angles etc..... ) for independent suspension and this is what came up;

I was getting frangipannied out about 18 months ago.
It originated with a bunch of surfie chicks down in wollongong who wanted to put something on their cars. Now its spread like a weed and everyone out there declaring they are a surf chick!
This is the story relayed to me by my mate down at wollongong and his surfie chick girlfriend.
It was cool to start with but now everyone has a bloody frangipani. Almost as bad as those chicks who have the tattoo above their ass crack. Was cute at first, now that everyones got one you just feel like giving it a good kick.

I guess there are a lot of frustrated surfie chicks in Alice Springs, they are waiting for the tide to come in by the looks of it. :lol: :lol:Roll on the 2010 Pradopoint GTG

Come on Mav , give those Alice Springs Surfies a break, you live at the closest spot to ALL Australia's beaches out there in Alice !!
Cronulla and down the south coast to Ulladulla was my hangout. They were the dayz when you didn't need to shower for days on end. We'd just jump in the ocean with all your clothes on, let them dry out, then bang all the salt out of them and then go out in them that night !!! 8)
90 mile beach at lakes entrance and point hicks was great back then. We use to spend weeks on end down there over summer and see no one. We use to collect all the drift wood and make huge fires on the beach, but its probably not environmentally friendly to drive or camp down there now :?
I had a HJ45 with front disc brakes, steel dash and it did 115km/hr flat out in 4th, it was nice and shiney and almost new back then. I think diesel was about 15-20c per litre. To bad the sea air got to it and rusted out most of the panels except for the fibreglass roof.

But at least the stickers generally identify the cars that are driven by the fairer sex.. And either need to be given a wide birth, or worth havin a peek in the drivers window :wink:Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.
