Yeah a snatch strap is quicker & easier, more compact, cheaper, etc.
Who made the first official snatch strap? The rest are just copies.............

A recovery should put as least stress on the vehicle a possible and reduce the potential damage.
If I cannot safely and effectively extract myself with a maxtraxx or tred etc, then i would ( and do) much rather safely winch out of the problem in a controlled fashion, instead instead of a snatch.
Snatching is much more dangerous and puts a lot more stress on the vehicles. So what if it takes a few minutes longer.
Look at the damage cause by snatch straps..... It is pure physcis and you cant argue with that.

Hey guys believe it or not....my mate was working at a plastic moulding place in Sydney that made Maxtrac copies.....they're not all made in China .

Yeah and no one is calling anyone names for having a different opinion yet which is good. The rubbish on the Perth 4x4 recovery FB page over the last couple of days was making me want to smash my head into a wall.
