Bullbar and rear seat

Hi All,

I have a 1997 Prado 2.7L manual.

I am looking for a bullbar, but I just dont know what to search for.

What 'series' is my prado or how do I find out?
Are there any other make/model(hilux?)that would fit?

At the moment the split seat is ok but give it a year and none of my children will be able to sit in the middle, as it only has a lap belt.
Any suggestion on replacing it with a solid seat? Can a normal over the sholder belt be installed from say the roof or have an anchor point installed?

Assuming it's a LWB (5 door) model then you have a 95 Series but they are also commonly referred to as 90 Series (technically the 90 applies to SWB versions).

Thank you for your reply. Yes it has 5 doors, not sure what LWB or SWB(maybe Long/Short).

I rang an motor Upholsterers, thinking he could weld it or something, but he had no clue, said to buy a seat from a standard version prado.

LWB = Long Wheel Base, SWB = Short Wheel Base.

No I havent got the Dicky seats, I did think that might fix the problem but I would lose 'boot' space.
So it would be the 2nd row which is split, good if I am camping with just 2.

In that case I think you are out of luck with respect to simply swapping the seat, pretty sure they all came with the split seat and a lap belt in the middle. My 150 series Kakadu still has the same arrangement.

Might have to research if Pajero or something will fit.

120's have sash belts all round including the middle.
