With a 2 inch lift is an extension of the rear sway bar required ??? I was reading about a 95 series today that kept braking rear sway bar with 2 inch lift, the owner has since extended the mounts and all is ok now and has better wheel travel. Is this needed on a 120 ?? I never did it to either of my 95's and I never broke a sway bar and both had 2 inch lift OME.. If I don't need it anyway, would fitting a kit have any advantages or disadvantages ??... I currently have TJM lift (gold edition)..... Cheers Steve

My 50mm lift has been in for over 5 years without any issues and I've been through some rough terrain. I think you would need it if you wanted to fit longer travel shocks over the ones designed just for the lift if you desired to get some crazy articulation.Dave

It depends on what travel your lift has, I did a heap of measurements and ultimately extended mine after fitting 80 series rear shocks. Have a look here http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post355055 it does spread out over a couple of pages as I worked through the changes.

I don't think it's required, except in some special cases (ie, repeated breakages - perhaps they had a higher lift??).
From my testing on a 90 series with 2" lift, extended links did NOT provide any advantage for articulation but they DEFINITELY improved on road handling (anti sway & stability).
Gaining articulation in IFS is easy - disconnect the sway!glen_ep - engineered, 4" lift, 33" 255/85R16, lockers, 4.88 ratios www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?17237 www.youtube.com/user/glenep www.fb.com/groups/ToyotaPrado90
