Was chasing up specifications on the 40litre Engel today and noticed a new model is about to be released.
Checked with the company - they say about two weeks away. Evidently still Japanese componentry but intended as more an introductory model, lacking some features of the premium steel cased 40 litre model like the digital readout , interior light, and potentiall drawing a little more current.
Still, a little cheaper and might be worth a look.

In this day and age, where technology gets better and cheaper at the same time, I've become used to getting more for less. I don't want less for less... that's against my religion

Otherwise we'd still be paying over 10 grand for low-definition plasma TV's with no tuner... :cry:
