What To Use

I'm fresh out of ideas, so I need some help from you guys.

After installing an MCC dual wheel carrier onto the Prado, I now need to find a cover for the 'stub axles'. As the Mrs is the one who drives it every day, she doesn't want to have to open the wheel carrier arm as well as the rear door. For this reason I've removed the swing away arms and now have the axles and grease exposed to the elements.

I need to find a cover for them but can't think of anything. Has anyone got any ideas??

what about a piece of pipe of the right diameter with large washer and nut to hold it on?

I use something similar but slightly more sophisticated to cover the stubs on my rear bar when they get powder coated and painted, doubles a place to hang them for those processes but you wouldn't want the loops.

Just snapped this picture of one sitting in the shed ready for fitting




Otherwise I think Kaymar do a rubber condom to fit their stubs.

Photoprado - I might try and ring MCC to see if they can supply 2. Could be an excuse to go to the 4x4 show this weekend.

mate there was bugger all there ( almost wished i'd save the $28 and had a Kebab at Semaphore

way too many caravans that all looked the same
just the usual ARB, TJM, 12V shop displays not too much on the camping & 4WD stuff

and it was bloody HOT and will be hotter over the weekend

The heat was the main reason I stayed away. It seems as though we get the smallest 4x4 show in the country. I'd love to get to the Perth show one year.
