    Hi Guys,
New to forum. Just wondering if any one is using additives to treat injectors etc. Would appreciate any comments.

    Thanks

    G'day,

I use the Liqui Moly as suggested by the 4 wd specialist mechanics I use, who incidentally changed my injectors & now are only guys who touch my Prado.

It is the Diesel Boost and Protect.

Thanks Pierre. Ive also heard that Pro -Ma DT 5 Concentrated Diesel Treatment is supposed to be good also.
Ive also heard from diesel mechanics that none of this stuff should be used on the latest common rail diesels especially the D4D ??

      Thanks

to add or not to add 2T? Lots of diesel forums have people trialling mineral 2 stroke oil in a 1:200 mix. Worthwhile topic to read if interested.

At the end of the day its your rig but i personally would "not" given the variables that i am aware of!

Don't get too caught up in the marketing of products as it's all about spinning that extra cash and who at the end of the day warrants there product if something goes wrong?... First of all prove that the product is at fault??...

I personally think that the fuel industry has it nailed with there detergents and self cleaning additives as stringent fuel requirements have to be met which are forced into place by the governments and the fuel industry has to abide by!
